This was written in The Hotel News in 1928 and remains true today...although perhaps the tavern has never really been as quiet and subdued as this journalist may have us believe.

Almost a hundred years later, Fox and Hounds still lives in the tradition of the tavern for the weary traveller and the gathering place for the neighbourhood common-folk. It keeps the 'public house' feel with wooden furniture, soft lighting, a pool table, dart boards, a tap constantly flowing with beer, and a bartender who knows your name and preference.
